This is the main reason why Japanese working in Singapore is because there are many Japanese companies in Singapore. Japanese Companies head office transfer their staffs from the head office to their Singapore subsidiary for temporarily like 3-4 years. Usually staffs can’t say No to the head office therefore they have to move to Singapore for work.

huh interesting, that i did not expect.. i assuming that being a salary man, try to have monetary savings, longer occupation job hours (compared to other countries) and harder job expectations despite declining birth population (and more job posts for the Japanese people and changes to job post policies and perks to attract the current and young generation people e.g. shorter, flexible working hours, different incentives & initiatives to motivate the employees in recent years, occupation not specified ) there in Japan are the reasons why the Japanese people go overseas to seek job prospects.. but still I could be wrong due to other aspects why they moved overseas to have better life and job prospects..

Your spoken Mandarin is amazing! I have been learning Japanese for many many years but still could hardly speak, albeit able to sing many Japanese songs. I think another reason why Japanese love to stay in Singapore is because many Japanese merchandise are available here. Thanks

It would be a disaster for the Japanese to learn English from the Filipino. The Filipino accent is the worst English accent that I have ever come across.

The second reason, ease of travel to other Asian countries, especially Thailand, Malaysia and Bali is what attracted a lot American and Europeans expats to Singapore too. And one more reason which you have not shared but equally important is the low tax rates. A lot of them end up getting more income after tax as compared to their home countries.

Impressive! Being half Japanese & half Chinese -Singaporean, and also native in Japanese language, I can totally understand how difficult it would be for Japanese ppl to pick up Mandarin..Keep up the good work!
